Learnt to use Phase to upgrade my design through making new animations that would not be available with just Figma.

Got to play around with creating animations from this loading animation to even the waving animation in the footer. Sad they are discontinuing at the end of August😢.

I was entrusted with the opportunity to represent and pitch Neardeal's product at the HKSTP Startup Alumni Association.

Our product pitch resulted in some partnership opportunities and connections. This helped me improve my pitching skills and even my deck design skills.

Tried my hand at vibecoding using Cursor. It's quite interesting seeing how the technology is progressing.

Quite curious how it will progress in future and help speed up development times for apps and websites, or even enable designers like me to make products.

I was invited to be a panelist and share my experience working in the Hong Kong startup ecosystem in the HKSTP YSIP program.

This was a great opportunity to give back by sharing my experience with younger students, and to meet interesting people.

This gave me more confidence in sharing about my life and presenting.

I worked with the Co-Founder of KhaziFarm track to design the most critical user flow for their app seeking to connect rural and underprivileged farmers with financial services. You can view the case study here.

I returned to Expando as the Product design lead where I planned, strategised and designed the next phase of Expando.

Since this was the first fully-coded app, I learnt a lot about got to design more and be a part of more of the product process. Learn more here.

Through user flow mapping, I streamlined key user flows like the signup flow and the referral flow.

My improvements on the referral flow reduced user cognitive load resulting in greater engagement, productivity and therefore revenues.

I used the data gained to identify potential areas of improvement in our user experience.

I prioritised, designed and implemented them resulting in greater user engagement, satisfaction and therefore revenues.

I interviewed key Expando users and potential users to understand their needs, goals and our usability shortfalls.

I used these insights to create user personas, and guide present and future product roadmaps. This resulted in greater product-market fit and customer-centricity.

I returned to Expando to lead the next stage of improvement for their referral program marketplace.

I focused on identifying usability issues, improve the product and get insights for future product direction.

Got my first UIUX job as the design lead at Expando. I designed their no-code referral program marketplace MVP allowing for a succesful launch and initial usability testing.

I pitched my startup idea to a VC. While I eventually did not launch it due to constraints, it was still a good experience and gained some good connections.

Learnt about UIUX when I was working on a educational tablet computer idea during Covid.

Through working on designing the OS for the educational tablet, along with the tablets specs, I discovered my passion for product and UIUX design.
